A creative experience for classes and groups
At Artopolis we turn art into play, and play into learning. We welcome schools and kindergartens to colourful, slightly messy and very fun studio sessions, where every child paints with their own hands and goes home with a finished artwork. We share a venue with the Funky Monkeys indoor playground in Sofia, so your group can combine creativity and movement in a single visit.
We offer three techniques, each available under normal and UV (glow-in-the-dark) light - the choice depends on age, the lesson theme and the mood of the group.
- Splash - painting by throwing and splashing paint onto canvas; high-energy and great for larger groups.
- Spinning tables - paint is spun on a rotating canvas to create surprising patterns.
- Airbrush - fine sprays and smooth gradients for calmer, focused painting.
Educational value
Behind the fun there is real learning. The sessions build the senses, imagination and confidence, and children experiment with colour and shape without fear of mistakes - here, "messy" is part of the process.
- Fine and gross motor skills through movement, splashing and brush control.
- An accessible introduction to colour, contrast and composition.
- Teamwork and turn-taking, sharing materials and space.
- Self-expression and emotional release through creativity.
- Curiosity about "how it works" - especially with the UV effects.
Ages, groups and capacity
We match technique and pace to age. For the youngest kindergarten children we recommend the calmer spinning tables and airbrush, while older pupils tend to love splash for its energy.
| Technique | Best for | Capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Splash | School pupils and larger groups | up to ~56 children |
| Spinning tables | Kindergarten and early primary | up to ~16 children |
| Airbrush | All ages, a calmer format | up to ~16 children |
For larger classes we split children into rotations between techniques. An accompanying adult stays with the group at all times; aprons are provided by us.
How to organise a visit
Booking a group visit is easy, and we help at every step.
- Get in touch with an approximate number of children, their age and a preferred date.
- Together we choose the technique, the light (normal or UV) and the duration.
- You rent the room for your group - the space is yours alone.
- Bring your own snacks or a cake for special occasions; we provide aprons and all materials.
- Every child takes their own artwork home.
A few house rules keep things safe and tidy: no confetti and no flammables, vacate the room on time, and adult supervision for the children. Prices are indicative and confirmed on enquiry based on group size and format.
